General info
You may order directly through the webshop, or if you prefer it a bit more on the personal side, you may send me an
e-mail instead, with a list of the stuff you would like. But even better, drop me a letter! Oh, the joy of receiving
a handwritten letter with some flyers included! I’ll try to make it worth your while. But remember, stocks are low
of each title, so please specify alternatives or if you’d rather prefer a refund. Reserving the merchandise while
sending a letter may be done through the webshop. Don’t be shy asking for recommendations!
Payment
I take cash in the following currencies: Euro, US$, DKK, SEK, NOK.
Online payment can be done through PayPal, which means payment is not jeopardized by my mediocre programming skills,
but handled directly by the biggest and safest online payment service (http://www.paypal.com
for info/registration). PayPal fee is 4%.
I also accept bank transfers from both Norway and international customers. There is a fixed fee of US$3.3/€2.5 for
international bank transfers, as long as the payment is processed in Euros or Swedish SEK. From other currencies,
the fee is double. Even if you're not from the Euro/SEK zone, there is still a chance that you can process the
payment in Euros, check with your bank.
For Norwegian customers, here's my bank account number: 9713.64.34482.
For foreign customers, here's my bank account info: Bank account holder: Hans Jørgen Ersvik, IBAN: NO7297136434482,
SWIFT/BIC: SKIANOBB for SEPA payments (new system for the EU area), and DNBANOKK for non-SEPA payments.
Other methods of payment may very well be accepted as well, ask first.
Postage costs (small packages)
There are two shipping options, "A-post" and "B-post". There is no difference between them other than shipping time.
I totally recommend B-post to save costs, I have sent hundreds of packages with it! In my personal experience,
shipping time to the USA can be slow with B-post, while other remote locations are generally faster. So if you're an
impatient person and from the USA, please use A-post.
B-post delivery time:
3-5 working days to Norway
At least 4-10 working days to Europe
At least 10-14 working days to the rest of the world
A-post delivery time:
1-2 working days to Norway
At least 2-6 working days to Europe
At least 4-8 working days to the rest of the world
Shipping up to 2000 grams is defined as a letter instead of a parcel, so it is not registered. The added price for
registration of letter post would be €23 or up to 43! Of course this is a rediculous price, and no one is going
to add that. So if you live in a country where packages have a history of being "lost", it's up to you if you want
to take the risk of unregistered letter post. I take no resposibility for lost packages. The Norwegian postal system
is safe, though.

Shipping cost (larger orders)
If you are doing a large order, then please note that the weight calculation in the webshop is not 100% accurate,
because I need to be sure that I do not undercharge the shipping cost. So there may be room for a bit more within
your postage rate than what is stated, e-mail me if you would like me to weigh your package and check if there is
room for a bit more.
Norway: Up to 100 EP's (10kg) is NOK160.
Europe excluding Greenland and the Faroe Islands: Up to 30 EP's (3kg) is €23. Up to 40 EP's (4kg) is €28. Up to 100 EP's (10kg)
is €37 (not supported in the webshop, e-mail first).
Rest of the world: Up to 30 EP's (3kg) is $35. Up to 40 EP's (4kg) is $40.
Packaging
All vinyl is packaged in the best possible combination of safety of the vinyl vs. total price of the shipment. I
have been a vinyl collector for years myself, buying hundreds of records on the internet, especially through eBay.
And way too often have I received records with spine tears and creased corners.
Through empirical studies I have learnt there truly is only one way to ship vinyl records safely.
1A. Unless the record is still sealed, remove the record from the outer sleeve, but leave it in the inner sleeve.
This is to prevent the record from moving around in the sleeve, ultimately cutting through the edge of the outer
sleeve (this is called "spine tears", often wrongfully referred to as "seam splits", which would be when the glued
seam has opened). Sealed records, on the other hand, are rarely exposed to spine tears, and should be left sealed.
1B. Of course, by leaving the record in the inner sleeve, you still risk spine tears to printed inner sleeves. Yes,
this is a compromise that you face as a record collector. The only way to truly prevent all possible spine tears is
to remove the record from the printed inner sleeve as well and put it in a separately purchased neutral white inner
sleeve.
When you order from me, I always follow 1A, but my low prices leave no room for 1B unless you pay for it. I have
some extra inner sleeves, for now you have to pay 10NOK/1Eur/$1.5 for this, hopefully cheaper in the future. This
feature is not supported in the webshop, so you need to e-mail me your order.
2. Wrap the records in bubble wrap, or similarly soft padding. The bubble wrap must be taped together just tight
enough; too loose will cause spine tears to the sleeve and hairline scratches on the vinyl from scratching against
the inner sleeve ("paper scuffs"); too tight will cause bending of the outer sleeve and a flattened spine.
3. Package the vinyl and bubble wrap in cardboard. The box must be just the right size. If it's too big, then you
must stuff it with soft padding to prevent the records from moving around. If it's too small you will get a round
impression in the sleeve from the vinyl record ("ring wear"), as well as flattened sleeve spine.
There can be no folds in the cardboard except for the actual folded edges of the box. Reshaping an old banana box
just won't cut it. The box does not need to be new, as long as it is still totally undamaged, especially no creased
corners.
The cardboard must have a certain thickness. Most of the LP size boxes (like the LP boxes sold by the Deutsche Post
and especially the flat LP mailers sold by the British Post), are not thick enough, unless they are reinforced with
even more cardboard. To really be safe, the cardboard should be extremely thick and extremely sturdy. The problem
with this is the price vs. safety compromise. Some cardboard boxes, especially some of the US Postal Service boxes,
are really thick and sturdy. These are great for shipping vinyl records, and using them is a way to truly be certain
that nothing happens to the records. Unfortunately the weight of these boxes is rediculous, compared to the postage
prices. A box that is truly solid enough for the actual handling by the various postal services around the world,
weighs about 0.5kg-1kg in LP size. The same weight as up to 3-4 LP's for just the box!
As a compromise, I ship in regular LP boxes, and reinforce the corners with extra cardboard.
And hope for the best.
